About PeliTouls
Why this site exists
Most online file tools work the same way: you hand your contract, your ID scan or your payslip to a stranger's server, wait for it, and hope the copy is deleted. It never has to be that way. A browser can open, convert and save files on its own, without sending them anywhere.
PeliTouls is built on that idea. Every tool on the site is a small program your browser downloads once and runs locally. Your file is opened, converted and saved inside your own tab. Stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
What you get
- Free tools with no account, no watermark and no daily limit.
- One-screen flow: drop files, adjust options, convert, download.
- Honest numbers: every result shows real before/after file sizes.
- Honest tradeoffs: when a conversion loses something, the tool says so.
What it will not do
- Convert Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents. Browser support for those formats is poor and the honest result would disappoint you.
- Process files while you are offline (yet). The converters run locally, but the page itself still loads from the network today.
- Upload anything, ever, to anyone.
How it is built
The site is a static set of pages. The converters are JavaScript and WebAssembly, using open-source libraries such as pdf-lib, PDF.js and libheif. There is no backend, no database and no queue, which is exactly why the privacy promise costs nothing to keep: there is nowhere for a file to go.
