How to powerpoint to pdf

  1. Choose your .pptx deck, or drop it on the page.
  2. Press Convert. Each slide is rendered off-screen and captured as an image.
  3. Wait for the progress bar: one landscape page per slide, in deck order.
  4. Download the PDF.

About this conversion

The deck is rendered with the open-source pptx-preview engine: each slide is laid out as PowerPoint would draw it, then captured with html2canvas and placed on its own landscape A4 page in a PDF built with jsPDF. Slide order is the page order; the whole deck becomes one document.

Because each slide is captured as an image, the PDF looks like the deck: backgrounds, charts, images and text sit where the renderer put them. This is the most faithful approach for a format as visual as PowerPoint, and it is why the tool says plainly that complex designs may look slightly different rather than pretending otherwise.

The jobs it exists for: sharing a deck with people who do not have PowerPoint, attaching slides to an application that only accepts PDF, archiving presentations, and printing handouts.

Limits and honest notes

Very complex slide designs may look slightly different: exotic fonts fall back to close equivalents, and animations are not captured (only the final state of each slide). Embedded videos become a still frame or a placeholder.

Legacy .ppt files are not supported; save the deck as .pptx first. Password-protected decks are refused with a clear message.

One deck per run, up to 50 MB. Rendering happens in this tab: nothing is uploaded, and the PDF is assembled on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some slides look slightly different?

Slides are re-drawn by an open-source renderer with font substitutes. Most decks match closely; very exotic designs may shift a few pixels. The tool says this up front rather than overpromising.

Is every slide one PDF page?

Yes: slide order becomes page order, and each page is landscape to match the deck.

Does it support old .ppt files?

No, only the modern .pptx format. Save the deck as .pptx in PowerPoint or LibreOffice first.

Is my presentation uploaded?

No. The rendering and PDF assembly happen entirely in your browser.
